I've successfully composed a couple of piano pieces
I've read more books than i can remember
I ran over 100 miles over the summer so i could get a T-shirt from my Cross Country coach
I made it to state in a public speaking contest and got 6th
It really doesn't matter what others think. I know that it is far easier said than done, but if you can focus on what you believe and what you want and who you are, then the words of others are like raindrops that just splash around you, but don't do anything to you. You can choose what others' words mean to you. They can build you up or tear you down, it's really up to you.
Books. I could go on a rant for hours about a good book. Or a good movie. or pretty much anything and everything.
There are lots of things that make me unique. Like the fact that when i was three years old i was adopted from Haiti. And like the fact that i don't dot my i's or my j's. Or that i have an umlaut in my name above the i. Or that i hate caramel. I also hate watching football but i could throw a football around the yard for hours if i had someone to do it with. Also, i don't like the movie The Princess Bride because when i first watched it, the ROUS's were really scary, so i did't like the movie and never have since.
My parents are very old fashioned thinkers. Especially my mom. She is very protective of everything i do, wear, eat, watch. It can get on my nerves some times but when it does, i try to remind myself why she does it. It's because she loves me and wants the best for me. How can i complain about that when there are people out there who don't have a mom, or a dad, or clothes to were and food to eat. When you think of it like that, life is good.
I recently learned that one simple act of kindness can mean the world to others. I saw this kid sitting by himself at school so i invited him to come sit with me and my friends. We did this for a while. I didn't know until later that he had been having a hard time at school because he had just moved and that it had meant alot to him that i had reached out like that. it felt really good to help him, even though it was such a little thing, it was really a big little thing.
I have been to almost all 50 states in the U.S
To me, the coolest places I've ever visited are the Redwood Forest, and Mount Rushmore.
I want to learn and be fluent in French, Creole, Spanish.
I want to travel the world
I am really good at piano, not to brag
I am really good at reading
I am really good at napping
I am really good at cleaning and organizing things
The hardest thing i have ever had to do was to forgive and to ask for forgiveness from my oldest sister. Growing up we never got along well and we always fought with each other. The problem was that we were both so alike: strong willed and so we never saw eye to eye. But eventually it got really tiring to always fight with her and i really did want to have a good relationship with her because not only were we hurting each other, we were hurting our parents. I knew that it hurt them to see two people they loved be rude to each other. So me and my sister decided that we weren't going to live that way, so we apologized and forgave each other. It was hard, but it was good for the both of us.
The Hush Hush series
And then there were none
The Bridge to Terabithia
I would go to france. I have always wanted to live there for a while, and speak french. I would love to visit the Eiffel Tower some day
I am really good at the piano
I am good at organizing things
I am good at really listening to people
I am good at letting people know how much i care for them
I am a compassionate person
Life was so much simpler. They didn't have smart phones and social media and all that stuff. Sure, those things are good sometimes, but i feel like nowadays, they do more harm than good.
I liked to play games in the yard with my siblings and to make up stories. I used my imagination a lot and created whole worlds in my bedroom that only a kid could dream up.
One thing that i think has gotten better since my parent's time is help. Back then, we didn't have all the technology and medicines that we do today. We are able to help so many more people with so many more things and i think it is great that even with how far we have come, we still have so much we can accomplish yet.
I want to be married with at least one kid. I want to have a steady job that i love. I want to be a woman's college volleyball coach and a wedding coordinator.
I wish that i had had a better relationship with my oldest sister growing up. We fought all the time and i wasted years that we could have been getting to know each other and growing close instead of ripping each other apart. We are doing better now, but it is still hard at times
I am excited about what will happen in the next few years. I am a sophomore in High school, so i have a lot of big decisions ahead of me
I wish people would understand each other more. I feel like we all look at each other and wonder what is going on in each other's lives, but we never even try to get to know them, so we live life never knowing. I think that the more people we get to know, it gets easier and easier to start meeting new people and we get better at it. Before you know it, everyone is friends with everyone and the world is a better place
I'd want to be a woman's college volleyball coach. I love playing volleyball, and i want to share that with other people.
I hope that i can find some friends on here. I think that it is so cool that i have the opportunity to talk with so many people all across the globe at my fingertips.
I am very optimistic about the future. Some people look back and don't like what they see so they don't want to look forward to the future, but if you don't like what you see behind you, start today and create something that you will look forward to. One of my favorite quotes is "One day or Day one, you decide" It means that what you want in life you are going to have to work for. You can start some day, or you can make today day one. Another quote i like is "Do something today that the future you will thank you for." Start today. Change the world.
I think that human nature is to be selfish. Like when there is only one piece of pizza left, how many people are gonna let someone else nab it? Not me! It's quite sad, if you think about it, but that's just the way we are. But on the other hand, it is very much in our power to change that, though. It really doesn't take much to say, "No, you can have it." and at first, you might regret it, but afterwards it will feel really good. It takes so little energy to be good, so why not be it?
I think that clean speech is underrated. I don't get why people think that it is cool to cuss every other word. I makes no sense to me. If you want to sound intelligent and civilized, find other words to use. Cussing just makes you look stupid because you can't find something better to say. Nothing says idiot like a person who only knows 4 letter words that start with the letters "f" ''s'' and ''b''
i don't have very many life regrets, i'm only 15 so there isn't much to do. I've never done drugs, drank, been arrested, or anything like that, and i'd like to keep it that way. I don't cuss and i am a generally nice person. i used to be pretty stupid, though. I used to think that "lease" was a person, so whenever i saw something that was "for lease" i would always be like "why is Lease getting all this free stuff?" Yeah, pretty dumb, right? Other than that, there's not much to my life to regret.
