Hi everyone, I am looking for nice penpals from all over the world to write letters with (snail mail). if you are interested in writing me, please send me a message.

I visited troughout my life alot of places in Europe. the nicest travel ever was by train from Belgium to Edinburgh. Arriving with the national express train in Waverley station felt like coming home. It was amazing! And the weirdest trip was Gibraltar.. The Spanish customs treated us like we were the biggest smuglars they had ever seen. And almost I told out loud "do you think we took a British monkey and will take it to Spain?". But I was clever enough just to keep it for myself...

I am proud to have achieved what I have achieved. I am not going to put all that details on a public page, but if we are getting to know eachother, you will certainly find out who I am...

I work together with alot of colleagues from different cultural background and I realized that penpalling is a good way to learn more about the other cultures. Mutual respect is the key to peace in this world..

I am an expert in enjoying life by simple details. I lived trough alot, but every situation I conquer by my strength and capacity of humour.. I notice birds whistling while other people are using their iphones, I realize that I am healthy, can cook every day and own a washing machine while alot of people, even in my own country suffer from bad diseases, have no money to buy food and depend on social washing saloons to clean their clothes.. We should be gratefull for the things we considered to be normal.. And I hate that people look down on other people, we are equal, nomatter where you come from, in which circumstances you were born, we should all see birds whistling!!

The hardest thing I ever did was to face the fact that I was suffering a burnout when I was 27 years old, and to conquer it.. I did, and now I see that it was the greatest gift ever.. I am alot less stressed than before that, I enjoy the true value of life, and I appreciate every new day as a gift, and I don't care for stupid events anymore that frustrates other people...

my favourite books are about Belgian monarchy and some intrigues that are hidden under the crown. And as well the biography of the English Queen Victoria written by Julia Baird

My favourite movie is "Romanzo Criminale".

My heart lays in Belgium at the moment, just bought her a ring.

I always love to tell about the things happened during the 8 years I worked as trainguard. So many weird stories happen on board of trains, and if I would write them down in a book, people wouldn't believe this is actually true..

The only way to make the world a better place is to look in the mirror, face the weaknesses that inside and deal with them. It all starts with our personal welbeing, mens sana in corpore sano. Our relations towards others can improve the world. If we all get stucked in narrow structures, it just blocks. Break out the box, and the world gets a better place...

when everyone around is looking at his smartphone, I don't notice the kafka of the moment, but I see how the world turns, I see real people, not facebook, I see birds, I hear the sounds of nature and I think to myself "what a wonderfull world"..

During my childhood I loved to be outside. I already penpalled from the moment I could write and I enjoyed especially Sundays with hot chocolate in winter and a nice dinner with fries.. And our society was not as anxious as it now was.. we grew up in peace, in a world that looked simple...

I just learned that the true value of life is in our own heart. Even your closest friends, or the love of your life can suddenly drop its mask and turn out to be a nightmare that shamed every bit of your trust.. Alice Nahon has a very beautifull poem about this, in Flemish "maskers". strong text. my point is.. see the true meaning of life and surround others with that strength, love and friendship and learn to feel who is worth it and who isn't..

sitting in my nostalgia room, listening to jazz after a hot lavender bath, smoking my pipe. The rest of the things I have in mind, I won't put public here, but yeah, I have a list of achievements in mind.. It will be funny to read this message again in 2027...

I am enthousiastic about the fact that I achieved terrific goals in my young life, I am healthy, I can still achieve the goals ahead of me, and I certainly am enthousiastic about my future which certainly is brightly as the star that leads my way!

Something special about me is my appart sense of humour, even in the darkest moment I make humourus comments to relativize the situation and to keep in mind that there still is a glowing light in front..

goh... ".. was better before" sounds like something for old widows drinking tea in a garden, eating biscuits from a cookiebox with the image of King Leopold I... Well, I guess our society was simpler before. Now all depends from computers that get stuck and nobody can help then, we can't speak to real people anymore but have to call a customer service somewhere far away, and if you write a letter to an official thing, you get a very polite anwser that tells "get lost and keep shut"... Decency and creativity was decapitated by the gang that wears nice suits and ties.. Oh please, give me a cup of tea and a biscuit from that box....

I think a very easy tool nowadays is facebook. Not to post pictures of the fact I ate a sandwich with cheese for breakfast or I can do the duckface really sexy, lol, no, to find people who moved or friends from ages ago that otherwise would stay out of touch for so long time...

I wished people knew better history. This society is giving up bloodrights like the right to strike, pensions, etc. But alot of people don't even know it are bloodrights for which our ancestors died not long ago.. Also we believe that right now everything is historical, but we use still the same principes that the Roman Empire used a few thousand years ago.. so a few lessons in national history and a bit down to earth and that is coolio!!

When I was a kid, I hoped that when I would wake up, my teddy would be alive, but I guess this was my first touch with reality, lol!!

I am suited for any job that is not 9-5 (although, whenever I become a dad, I will change this idea), I am suited for any job that has social contacts and as long as I am not locked up between white walls that is good. I am now a tramdriver, and that is amazing. I am a driving philospher in the city and time flies, and I see the world passing by, it's terrific!!

growing up is a confrontation with some negative side about your parents that you protested against your entire childhood.. looking in the mirror and see that your blood is spoiled with some negative sides of them is hard.. But that is a challenge to do some things better as they did when you were a kid.. blood is thicker than water, that is a fact nobody can denie..

I am optimist about my personal future, I have the positive vibe to build the right things, I make acquitance to good people and I am engaged to a wonderful woman. But if you ask me about the future in general, then something really has to change, because this society is going the wrong way and most people are just blind to that.. above our heads they are softly taking all the bloodrights our ancestors died for, if you yell too loud your opinion you end up in jail, and I see many friends of me that have a good job but can't get a loan for a house since "we are in a crisis" but in the meanwhile politicians get salaries of 6000 euro a month while retired people can't pay their bills anymore and are hungry... That is a shame.. really...

read the poem "maskers" of Alice Nahon and it tells it..

What worries me the ultimate most in this world? The wellbeing of my cousin Kaat, I promissed to my grandmother before she died that I always would protect her as a big brother, always kept and shall keep this promisse... (also the fact of running out of toilet paper makes me worried..)

If I ever become a wise old man I will share serious advice, in the meanwhile just give you 3 very important adivces:

    1. Always check if there is toilet paper before you take a seat on the watercloset
    2. nomatter what happens make sure there is a reserve coffee machine in the house. especially if you got a senseo machine for christmas, those machines are rubbish and break down all the time
    3. just believe in yourself and listen to your own heart instead of people who claim to give to give you good advice, those people mainly talk about toiletpaper and coffeemachines btw...

regret makes you realize life is still there to do things better... But some things are lost forever..
